Wedding Dinner

I was quite reluctant to go to my friend's wedding dinner yesterday because i do not know most pple there as the bride was actually my good friend during our pre-sch and primary sch times. hmm i oni know 1 person very superficially on my table(oh no).Tink many pple in such situation would not hav gone so can save ang bao $$ also :p but I was really blessed when i went eventually.it was not oni the food :p but my first experience to a christian wedding dinner.

The bride and me were very close tog when we were young but after we went secondary sch,we drifted away and oni heard about each other thru friends' friends etc.I was veri touched by her when she initiated to contact me and catch up with me after she came back from her studies in Australia, since she left after the O levels.it was then during that time that i learned she became a christian and she attempted to share gospel with me.Though my heart was still hardened then, and i did not respond to her at that time :p but her testimonies and the changes in her had really impacted me and touched my heart. Now, when she shared her thankgivings during the dinner,it really encourages me alot of how God used her mother to change her from a rebellious adolescent to a faithful christ follower.She used to share with me that her mother really persevered alot in disciplining her and her sister and managing the whole family to a pt of breakdown.it was then God sent her uncles and aunts to share Christ with her mother that she came to know Jesus.(i jus found that her uncles and aunts r pastoral leaders leh) Because of the love of God that she sees thru her mother despite her disobedience and rebellion, she also accepted Jesus into her life and had changed completely for God.

Something that blessed me alot was that the dinner was filled with God's presence and the thankgiving atmosphere in prayers,scripture reading, solemnization,holy communion,songs of worship, testimonies and sharing.I tink wedding process and marriage preparation in houses, renovation, ceremony,dinner etc can be quite tedious, really time and energy consuming.but i can see that the whole process was really blessed when they always rely and give thanks to God for the providence. And friends, brothers and sisters in church really united tog to help out in various aspects of the process, to manage this event joyfully.

Those were the days when we were still beating each other under the tables during class :p now seeing her happily married, cant help shedding tear of joy for her :'p how time flies...mayb more christian weddings from brothers and sisters in church to attend in times to come...
