The Hours not known

hi all, just tot of sharing something i experienced this morning at work.

i am not sure how many of you know my company profile, so, let me just briefing share my view about it. :)

basically, this company (QES) got 1 big boss (managing director who had 30+ years in engineering fields, a respectable character), 1 smaller boss (a lady who has good networking and strenght in marketing), and small boss (a 30+ years man who is in charge of the other associate company with QES). 1 experience senior engineering, 1 admin gal, and me. so, all together 6 staffs. :) i am doing sales & project for this company.

the company almost closed down at the beginning of the year, but, becos my big boss saw the potential in the product our company is doing, he came and join in. i also believe there is big potential in the product. so, i pray that the company is doing well at sales and project proformance within first 6 months, if not, it might close down again. :)

3 months since i joined this company, we have had 2 team meeting. so, some task/project follow up is delegated to me to in charge. so, yesterday night (sunday) i wrote down all the thing i have not yet done, thought of finish them by early this week.

guess what?

i was about to give a call to check up "project XX" status, my smaller boss (lady) called me for update of "project XX". so, i told her i'm about to check it out. she just gave that kind of bad tone saying "peter, you must follow up on this, ok?" and blar blar... wAOO... sounded like i never do my job. nevermind, i was always told not to take thing personally. :) i proceeded on my work, though i took it "not so positively".

just something to share here, this incident reminded me of the parable Jesus shared, "the hours the Master come back is not known, so, don't get caught by Master when you are sleeping". (something along tat line).

i think it is always important that we are prepared to give an account to all the thing that entrusted to us. at least at our best ability.

so, hope this sharing can be an encouragement to you in one way or another. (ha ha.. anyway, i spend 15 mins to type out le..) :)
